NEW · PUBLIC MAP + ASSISTANT

Meet Datum.

A public, read-only reference map of Dodge City and Ford County's GIS data. Water and sewer lines, wells, hydrants, and more. Additional data will be added to the map as it is generated.

Datum is also the assistant on this site: a locally hosted model that answers in plain language and drives the map for you.

Corban Garcia
Corban Garcia, GISP
GIS ANALYST · CIMARRON, KANSAS

Corban works in infrastructure GIS, mostly where utilities, water, land, and rural operations overlap. His work is practical: mapping electric systems; supporting water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure; moving CAD records into usable GIS; building asset-management and field-collection workflows; and producing analysis people can actually use to make decisions.

He is a GISP, a Class 4 KDHE-licensed water operator, and an FAA Part 107 remote pilot. He is also pursuing graduate research through Montana State University's Land Resources and Environmental Science program on potable-reuse feasibility for aquifer-stressed communities in southwest Kansas.

More recently, he has been putting AI to work where it earns its keep: automating repetitive GIS and data tasks, making scattered infrastructure information easier to find and use, and building better access to operational data and business intelligence. The goal is not to add another shiny platform. It is to give small, rural organizations better information without requiring a bigger staff or budget.

2024 — NOW
GIS Analyst — The Victory Electric Cooperative Association
DODGE CITY, KS

Maintains enterprise electric GIS infrastructure, develops demand growth modeling tools, designed a vegetation risk prioritization tool from outage history and canopy datasets, integrates legacy CAD into GIS, modernizes construction specification manuals, and built a Power BI dashboard tracking top electric consumers.

2019 — 2024
GIS Coordinator — City of Liberal, Utilities & Building Dept.
LIBERAL, KS

Established the city's first comprehensive utility GIS platform, migrated CAD blueprints into structured geodatabases, developed water/wastewater/stormwater layers, implemented lead and copper compliance inventory for 7,000+ service lines, and trained staff on ArcGIS Field Maps.

2025 — NOW
Executive Director / Founder — Cimarron Animal Action Team, Inc.
CIMARRON, KS

Built the founding nonprofit team; manages budget, fundraising, grant proposals, systems administration, dashboards, governance operations, and public outreach.
